While the Ridge Line Lodge is truly a special and very private getaway for a small group, it is close to some wonderful creature comforts and adventurous things.

Some never want to leave, but if you’re looking to venture out into this wonderful world North of the Notches, the Ridge Line Lodge is a short drive from some of the best hiking in New England, not to mention some incredible artisanal breweries, spas, skiing, snowboarding, golf, horseback riding, snowmobiling, dog-sledding, rock climbing, swimming, river tubing, fishing and more.

Dalton Ridge is conveniently located at the epicenter of Littleton, Bethlehem, Bretton Woods, Lancaster and Santa’s Village. A drive from the south has the added benefit of a bonus trip through one of the awe-inspiring notches of the White mountains, Franconia, Crawford or Pinkham.

Local destination Breweries include Schilling in Littleton (25 minutes), Rek-lis in Bethlehem (20 minutes) and Copper Pig in Lancaster (20 minutes).

The Littleton Food Coop, just 25 minutes away, is a fantastic independent Whole Foods-type market with an amazing selection of local cheeses, produce and just about anything else you might need to stock your larder.

The Polish Princess Bakery in Lancaster is a dream come true if you’re in to wonderfully flaky chocolate croissants and pastries. They open at 7 and are 20 minutes away if you want to treat your guests to some special morning treats. Open for lunch, too.

Local ski areas include Bretton Woods Resort, named Best Ski Area in the Northeast and #12 ski resort in the world by Conde Nast Traveller magazine, as well as Cannon Mountain, the state-owned home mountain of ski legend Bode Miller.

Also nearby is the very classic and old-school three trail Mount Prospect Ski Town in Lancaster featuring all natural snow, glade skiing and a single 1957 Chevrolet powered rope tow.

Nordic skiers can choose from the 100 kilometer trail network of Bretton Woods with stunning views of Mt Washington or Hearth farm in Sugar Hill.
